This DOG-FRIENDLY, private 1-bedroom, Plus loft bedroom, cabin is located less than 5 minutes off HWY 321 in Townsend, TN, also known as “The Peaceful Side of the Smokies.” Only 5 minutes (2.5 miles) from Tuckaleechee Caverns and 7 minutes (4 miles) to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park Entrance near Cades Cove. Perfect for two couples or a family, and bring along your furry family members!

Dog Policy - If you are brining your furry friend, you must submit a message through the app and let us know what the age and breed the dog is. We do not allow puppies less than 1 year old and certain breeds that are known to be destructive. All dogs must be house trained. There is a $100 per stay charge please select pets on your reservation.

You will be responsible for any damage caused by your dog. Please use the designated outdoor area for you pets to do their business and clean up after them. In some cases we do provide waste stations to clean up after them.

Because we are Dog Friendly if you have any allergies pertaining to dogs you should not book This Cabin. While we do our best to thoroughly clean, we cannot guarantee that if you are highly allergic you won't have a reaction due a previous guest’s dog.

Should you bring more guests than reflected by your reservation you may be asked to leave the property without a refund and/or pay an additional $25 per night per person.

Do not leave any trash or food outside, it will attract bears.

You are in nature and there are bears and other wildlife in the area. If Bears get too accustomed to people, they are put down. If you feed the bears, you can kill the bears, please don't kill the bears.

Guest making reservation must be at least 23 years old and present for the duration of the reservation

The hot tub is for guests 21 and over only. Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol, or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK!

As with all cabins in the area the fireplace is shut down April 1 - Sept 30.

We do not offer late check out or early check in typically. If by chance we can accommodate, there may be an additional charge.

Condiments, zip locks and coffee are NOT provided.

Absolutely no fires! Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $250 plus damages. Only fires in regard to Grills and the communal Fire Pit (if available) are approved
You will be staying in/near the mountains. There will be bugs and potential for other pests, we take precautions with regular pest control but due to being so close to nature there are times when pests will make their way in.

We have no control over the weather or the potential issues that can arise due to acts of God or nature. Refunds will not be available beyond normal cancelation policies due to issues outside our control. If this is a concern, I recommend purchasing travel insurance just in case.

The space

Tastefully decorated, this one-bedroom cabin with a loft is the perfect place for two couples or a family to get away and relax. The bedroom downstairs has a KING bed, and the loft has a full-sized bed. The kitchen is well stocked with a drip coffee maker (BYO-Coffee) & a Keurig (BYO-K-cups) and all the dishes and cookware you should need.
Use caution: stairs leading to LOFT are steep & narrow!

All TVs are connected to wifi with access to all of your favorite streaming apps via Roku (you must log into your own accounts)! Both the bedroom and loft have 43” UHD Roku-equipped TVs. The 55” living room TV is also Roku-equipped.

There is an electric fireplace for use in the cooler season (Oct. - Mar.), in the living room.

We are dog-friendly, with restrictions, so please message us with details if you intend to bring your furry friend(s)!

Mountain Mist Cabins offers a shared Laundry Area.

Guest access

You’ll have the whole cabin to yourself!
Driveway is gravel, but flat and well-packed.
Motorcycle friendly but bring something to place under your Kickstand.
Electronic Lock on door, so no keys to misplace or lose.

Please note the level of privacy at the cabin is dependent on the season. There is one other cabin in Mountain Mist that is visible from the driveway and front porch.

Make sure all trash outside is placed in the bear proof trash bins.
Never leave trash bags or food outside.

Towels and linens are provided, as well as soaps, shampoos, and even toothbrushes, are available if you forgot yours!

Neighborhood overview

Located on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies, Townsend is just 20 minutes (18 miles) to Pigeon Forge and 40 minutes (24 miles) to Gatlinburg. Less than 2 miles from HWY 321.
Mountain Mist Cabins contain 5 individual and private cabins. The main driveway is shared, while each cabin has a private driveway for you!
TAKE IT EASY is the 1st cabin on the left of the main driveway once you have turned in by the “Mountain Mist Cabins” sign at the main road.

Getting around

Mountain Mist Cabins is less than a mile to HWY 321 and just minutes away from many attractions. Only 1.6 miles to Davy Crockett Riding Stables, 2.5 miles to Tuckaleechee Caverns, and 4 miles to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park & the Cades Cove Loop.
Pulling in, TAKE IT EASY will be the 1st cabin on the left. While the main driveway from the main road is shared, each cabin has its own private driveway and yard.
